I've been obsessed with fashion ever since I can remember. So when I became pregnant, I had no idea what I would end up wearing. All our lives we've heard the clichés about maternity as the standard in bad fashion. Add to that being newly pregnant and feeling a little overwhelmed in general. So when I entered a maternity shop for the first time, I was a little nervous, and had pretty low expectations. What I found can now be described as inspiration. Not only was I surprised to discover that maternity clothing could be stylish, even gorgeous, but also that you can feel extra special wearing it! The clothes I purchased during my pregnancy were in celebration of the new life I was creating. Those feelings are what inspired me to open this store, and is exactly what I want to bring to all women who may be a little nervous about their changing bodies, wardrobes, and lives.

I hatched the concept of providing both moderate and slightly pricier brands of maternity apparel under one roof. Splurging on something fun, but being sensible about basics, is the way I've always shopped. It was also important to me to create in a unique shopping environment. I wanted to surround my customers with a modern, bright, and airy space, pretty things, then spoil them with personal attention and care.

Love In Bloom is more than just a great place to shop for cute clothes; we strive to be a community resource for women and their families. Being a Mom myself, I understand the special care and attention needed by the new mother, and it is my goal to provide this by fostering a network of camaraderie and support. We support new moms with playgroups, in-store workshops, and provide resources by partnering with groups like Rex Healthcare's Moms Supporting Moms and local counselors who specialize in post-partum well-being. We foster new-mom networks, and work with online communities such as Moms Like Me. We promote our local talent by showcasing local artists and designers, and other talented people we come across who want to reach out to our community. Please contact us if you would like to help!
